Gabi Angelini, a young girl now in her twenties who discovered how hard it was to be in permanent employment because of her disability, is now in the process of setting up her own coffee shop called ‘Gabi’s Grounds’. Through this venture which she has been raising money for over the last two years, she aims to also be able to employ other friends of hers with disabilities, (whether intellectual or developmental), to create a real sense of community. She is giving hope and showing that people who are ‘differently able’ are actually just as capable as anyone else. Her dream is for this not just to be a coffee shop but to be a place where she can run events such as parties and karaoke nights where everyone is welcome.

Gabi is a very determined young girl who has never given up on her dream and who on her travels, even met her one true love, Nick Doyle. They have embarked on a long distance relationship but they genuinely care for each other and see a future together, a story which has captured the hearts of millions. Gabi has been doing supermarket work bagging items for customers in a local shop to help raise money for her ‘dream’, which she claims is going to be a lot of fun. When her coffee shop is up and running her and her friends will be able to dance, make merry and sing a lot! Watch this space!

Gabi with boyfriend Nick…they claim they are meant to be together!
