Hamish McNeill has known from a very young age he wanted to become a chef and set up his own business, and he didn’t let society or disability stop him. He has recently been able to realise his dream by opening a paleo style bakery ‘Hungry Hamish’ in New Zealand with the long term goal of achieving nationwide distribution. He has started to hire his own staff and aims to also take on staff with disabilities in the future.

His mother Christina hired a support worker who is a qualified baker, Damian to help Hamish achieve his goals and open up new opportunities for his future. He has recently been able to sell some of his products very successfully on social media such as chip cookies, paleo bread, apple pies, strudels, paleo pancakes and has even created his very own paleo pastry range. He is succeeding in his dream of offering a wide variety of food that is healthy, nutritious and delicious too. We wish him all the very best in the future and look forward to seeing where his adventure takes him!
