My Name is Matthew and I am 40 years old. I was born with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus in 1981. My childhood experiences are sketchy, but I remember my life as a teenager/adult being very frustrating at times. I went through phases wondering why me, why did this happen to me and I did experience a lot of bullying and name calling at school. People would also look and stare at me in the street because I looked different. I am doubly incontinent and I self catheterize daily every few hours or so and before bed as well. This is my perspective of living with Spina Bifida.

In terms of hobbies, I like listening to music and watching football on TV and I also enjoy meeting up with friends and family. In the future, I very much hope I can meet someone special and settle down with them and just be happy.
